Jr, a French street artist, may be one of the most prolific graffiti artists to use photography as his medium. More intriguing than his medium, is his message. JR’s powerful portraits, pasted in the galleries of our urban domains, scrutinize stereotypes, gender, juxtaposition of culture and very thoughtfully confront us with a mirror questioning just who we are as people.
This TED Talk, first shared in 2011, is both entertaining and inspiring. JR’s website is a great place to check out all of his collections, but to truly tap into the story, this talk does an exceptional job at delivering his message. What a fantastic way to bring our worlds and cultures together~ world changing.
