As designers and photographers, we are always thinking about the application of color in our work. Jude Stewart of Imprint Magazine recently published an interesting piece on the history of the color wheel. In this two part article, Stewart walks us through some of the history and science of chroma mapping. Even if you just have enough time to skim the article, the reproductions of these historic wheels and some of the more modern applications are definitely worth your time.
